Join us from 12–4 pm for an afternoon of discussion, reflection, and practical action with Zaid Jaloudi and Eliot, Student Engagement Coordinator (Projects and Campaigns).
This event will explore themes of power, collective responsibility, and meaningful action within our communities. Zaid Jaloudi will share his experiences and insights, offering a perspective on grassroots organising, advocacy, and the wider networks that shape social movements. There will be space for questions and open discussion following his talk.
In the second half of the event, Eliot will lead an interactive session focused on understanding power — how it operates within institutions, how it can be challenged, and how students can play a role in supporting impactful action without needing to take on highly visible or high-pressure roles. Through small group discussions, attendees will develop practical, realistic ways to contribute to causes they care about.
The afternoon will include breaks for informal conversation and networking, as well as a final open forum bringing speakers and attendees together.
Whether you’re already involved in activism or simply curious about how change happens, this event offers space to learn, reflect, and leave with tangible next steps.
All are welcome!
