Boat taster (Rowing - taster session) at Strathclyde Park! Transport will be provided.
Come and join the Heriot-Watt Boat Club!
You will use the best rowing facilities in the country: a 2km, 8 lane course located in Motherwell and home to the Scottish Rowing Centre and the Heriot Watt University Boat Club boat bay. Starting by learning basic technique on the rowing machines, you will then get into a boat and try your hand at rowing on the course, instructed by our coaches and your coxswain.
Dress like you would for the gym, but also according to the weather. Avoid lose fitting and long tops as these can catch on oars. Bring water, a towel and change of clothes. You won’t fall in, but it’s likely to be splashy.
Please meet us at Oriam Reception at 12, transport to the Scottish Rowing Centre is provided.
