An eco-conscious collection of students and staff coming together to make positive change!
The Sustainability Forum is a recurring student-led initiative designed to bring together students and staff who are passionate about sustainability. Its purpose is to:
- Create a community that cares about sustainability – a space for like-minded individuals to connect.
- Collaborate on sustainable initiatives – working with staff and the Student Union to implement projects that make a positive environmental impact.
- Challenge university practices – advocating for greener policies and improvements where needed.
Here are the upcoming schedule and focus for this Semester:
January Session
- Date: 28th January at 12 PM
- Theme: Setting sustainability-related New Year’s resolutions.
- Extras: Sponsored lunches for attendees.
- Special Initiatives: Launching clothes swap stations in Orkney and Galashiels (supported by the Union).
February Session
- Date: 24th February at 1 PM
- Theme: Guest speakers on sustainability topics.
- Covering some Fish Free February themes
March Session
- Date: 18th March
- Theme: TBD by students in the January meeting
- Beach clean-up post forum in collaboration with local communities (transportation provided)
