🌊 Big Big Beach Clean @ Cramond and Silverknowes | Sustainability Week Special 🌿

🗓 Date: Tuesday 21st October (Week 7)

🕚 Time: Depart campus at 10AM | Clean-up starts at 11AM | Ends at 4PM | Feel free to drop in & out when you please if this is more convinient for you!

📍 Location: Cramond Beach and Silverknowes Beach

🎟 Free lunch + hot drinks included! *Make sure to register on Native for a ticket in order to receive said food and drink*

Join us for one of the biggest beach clean-ups of the year as part of Sustainability Week! We're heading to Cramond and Silverknowes Beach with a mission: to collect 200kg of rubbish and make a real impact on our local environment.

Whether you're passionate about sustainability, looking to gain volunteering hours, or just want a fun day out with friends, this event has something for everyone:

• Beach Clean: Help us track litter types, document the day, and measure our collective impact.
• Sports Union: Enjoy volleyball, frisbee, and other beach games.
• Craft & Chill: Relax under our gazebos with the Crochet & Knit Society.
• Free Lunch & Hot Drinks: Served during our midday break under the gazebos.
• Guest Speakers: Learn about local oyster reefs and how beach cleaning supports marine biodiversity.

Getting There:

• Meet us on campus at 10AM to travel together.
• Sports Union members may be able to catch a lift.
• Or meet us directly at Silverknowes - just outside the Boardwalk Beach Club at 11AM. (Park by Silverknowes Promenade on Marine Drive).
